The flight attendants or cabin crew are responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers.

Their mission is not only to assist you and make your flight as pleasant as possible, but to fulfill a much more important function, such as safeguarding your safety, ensuring that all the rules are met and transmitting peace in times of stress.

CANAVIA is an approved organization that has been training aviation professionals for ten years now. Since 2018, we also give the cabin crew course.

We were the first official school to obtain authorization from the State Air Safety Agency as an Approved Teaching Organization (ATO)in 2013 in accordance with the new EASA regulations, being recognized by the Aeronautical Authority as an exemplary school.


Cabin Crew requirements

In order to obtain the title as Cabin Crew, you must meet the following requirements

  • Be 18 years old on the day of the exam. The course can begin before, but you must bear in mind that to be able to examine you, you must have reached the age of majority

  • Pass and obtain the class CC medical examination. This medical certificate can be obtained at the centers authorized by AESA

  • To know how to swim. It is an essential requirement to obtain the certificate of cabin crew member

  • It is recommended to have good level of English (although it is not required)


CABIN CREW COURSE - THEORETICAL PART

The theoretical content of the cabin crew course consists of six subjects.

The syllabus and the duration of the subjects are pre-established by the Ministry of Employment, through the State Air Safety Agency (AESA).

Content:

  • Regulations: Aeronautical regulations applied to the work of the cabin crew member

  • Aircraft knowledge: This is the most technical subject. Where the fundamental parts of an aircraft and its functionality are studied.

  • Medicine and First Aid

  • Human factors and CRM (human psychology and teamwork)

  • Operational procedures: operations that must be performed by the crew inside an aircraft in a normal or emergency situation

  • Dangerous goods in air transport


Once the theoretical classes have been completed, the students will take an internal exam at our school before taking the official exams.

The official examination consists of a test with 50 questions (of which the pupil must exceed a percentage not less than 75%), plus an evaluation of the practical competencies that we will see during the course.

CABIN CREW COURSE-PRACTICAL PART


Once the theoretical part is finished, the students of our Official Cabin Crew Course will have to overcome a series of mandatory practices.

  • Aircraft knowledge Practices: Cockpit visits, weather forecasts...

  • First aid practices: CPR Maneuvers (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation), immobilization of broken limbs...

  • CRM Practices: Exercises to strengthen trust and teamwork

  • Operational process Practices: cabin preparation, cabin voices, inflatable ramp evacuation, emergency bullets ignition...

  • Survival practices: Survival at sea, use of life jackets and liferafts, swimming...

  • Fire extinguishing practices: Real extinguishing fires with fire extinguishers

PRICE FOR THE PROFESSIONAL COURSE OF PASSENGER CABIN CREW

Remember that you can finance your training as a flight attendant without interest, paying a fee of 210 euros / month for one year.
